01

The company

A trading house built beside the port it imports through.

Mashariq Al-Ebdaa General Trading Co. Ltd. was incorporated in Baghdad on 8 May 2024 and operates from Basra, a short distance from Umm Qasr — the port through which the majority of Iraq’s imported goods arrive.

That location is the whole argument. We buy electrical goods directly from manufacturers, clear them ourselves, and hand them to retailers, contractors and distributors without the chain of intermediaries that normally sits between a factory and an Iraqi shop floor.

The company holds full import and export authority under Iraqi Commercial Law No. 30 of 1984, with a declared capital of one billion Iraqi dinars and the right to open branches inside and outside Iraq.

02

What we supply

Eight divisions, one supplier.

Everything below moves through the same import channel, the same clearance process and the same delivery network — which is why a mixed order still arrives as one shipment.

  1. 01

    Home Appliances

Refrigerators, freezers, washing machines, dryers and cookers from established manufacturers — supplied by the container or by the unit.

  2. 02

    Cooling & Air Conditioning

Split units, window units, air coolers and ventilation fans rated for Basra summers and continuous duty.

  3. 03

    Power & Generators

Diesel generators, voltage stabilisers, UPS systems and inverters for homes, shops and industrial sites.

  4. 04

    Solar & Energy Systems

Photovoltaic panels, lithium and gel batteries, charge controllers and hybrid inverters for off-grid and backup power.

  5. 05

    Cables & Electrical Materials

Copper wiring, circuit breakers, distribution boards, switches, sockets and conduit — certified and traceable.

  6. 06

    Lighting & LED

Interior and exterior LED lighting, floodlights, street lighting and decorative fixtures for residential and commercial projects.

  7. 07

    Kitchen & Water Heating

Ovens, microwaves, water heaters, water coolers and small kitchen appliances for retail and hospitality supply.

  8. 08

    Electronics & Accessories

Televisions, receivers, audio equipment and consumer electronics accessories in wholesale quantities.

03

How we work

From the factory floor to your shop floor.

  1. 01

    Direct Import

We buy at source. Factory negotiation, quality inspection, shipping and customs clearance through Umm Qasr are handled end to end, so the price you receive has no broker layered into it.

  2. 02

    Wholesale & Distribution

Container-load and pallet-load supply to retailers, electrical shops and distributors across Iraq, with pricing tiers that hold as your volume grows.

  3. 03

    Project & Tender Supply

Bill-of-quantities pricing, technical submittals and scheduled delivery for contractors and for public, mixed and private-sector tenders.

  4. 04

    Logistics Across Iraq

Consolidation at our Basra base and onward delivery to all governorates, with documentation that matches what customs and your accountant both expect.

  5. 05

    After-Sales Support

Manufacturer warranty registration, spare-part sourcing and replacement handling — the part of the transaction most suppliers stop caring about.

04

The advantage

Why buyers choose Basra.

  • 01

    Basra: closest to the port

Our base sits beside Iraq’s primary sea gateway at Umm Qasr. Goods clear and move without the inland freight leg that suppliers further north have to price in.

  • 02

    A licensed, audited entity

Registered with the Ministry of Trade as a private limited liability company with a declared capital of one billion Iraqi dinars, an appointed auditor and retained legal counsel.

  • 03

    Import and export licence

Our founding charter carries full import and export authority under Iraqi Commercial Law No. 30 of 1984 — we do not borrow another company’s licence to bring your goods in.

  • 04

    One point of contact

The managing director is reachable directly. Quotations, disputes and delivery changes are settled by the person who can actually decide them.

Iraq does not have a shortage of electrical goods. It has a shortage of suppliers who deliver what they quoted, on the date they promised, with the paperwork in order. We built Mashariq Al-Ebdaa to be the supplier we spent years looking for.

Every container we bring in is negotiated, inspected and cleared by our own team. When something goes wrong — and in this trade it occasionally does — you speak to me, not to a call centre. That is the whole difference, and it is the only promise worth making.
